Air Roastery is to disrupt traditional coffee practices daily and bring wealth back to hardworking farmers. With state-of-the-art equipment, a seamless customer experience, and an ethical operation that provides all of the delicious choices a customer could want, our model has created a successful concept that’s always evolving.
While coffee consumption continues to increase, the industry is still lacking methods that personalize production and customize the delivery of specialty coffee. With a threefold growth strategy that includes retail shops, wholesale, and eCommerce, we believe we are moving quickly to corner valuable market share while upholding a global social mission of achieving fair trade collaboration, community outreach, and environmental sustainability.
More Than Just a Cup of Coffee
Our founder, Jacques Shalo, was born into the coffee business. From age five, Jacques was hands-on, on his family’s coffee farm in Cameroon until his teenage years. Upon Jacques’ return to coffee, he began sourcing green beans from countries worldwide. Under the advice of Starbucks co-founder Zev Siegl, Jacques eventually began to narrow his focus back to his home country. Now, Kribi Coffee is focused on sourcing directly from our farmers in Cameroon. We cut out the brokers to ensure our farmers are paid well for their hard work!

We do not require our franchise candidates to have previous coffee industry experience or knowledge. We do ask that our franchisees have an entrepreneurial spirit and an eagerness to learn the way we do things at Kribi Coffee. We need you to be coachable – we can help you with the rest.
From the day you sign your franchise agreement, you’ll gain access to the entire Kribi Coffee team to assist you in every step of your store opening process including:
- Site selection assistance and referrals
- Construction project management
- Comprehensive training and store opening assistance
- Complete décor and equipment package
- Grand opening marketing planning, management, and execution
- Exclusive access and franchise pricing for most of your coffee and operations supplies through Kribi Coffee Company
Approximately 30-60 days prior to opening your first store, we provide comprehensive training for up to 3 owners and managers in our Chicagoland store or other designated location. We also provide a 2-day “tune-up” training in your new store just prior to opening and our training team will assist you for the first few days of opening your business. Throughout the year, we also offer a wide range of training and development opportunities online and through various media, as well as one-on-one business consulting assistance.
The total investment cost to open a Kribi Coffee ranges between $250,000 and $485,000. This includes a franchise fee of $30,000.
The initial term of a Kribi Coffee franchise agreement is 10 years and includes an additional (optional) 10-year successor term.
